About Us

Meet the Cook family:

Mark -  Mark is the head guy in our family!  He works in the IT field.  Mark's hobbies include fishing, canoeing, ham radio, working out at the MAC and AV stuff.  Mark started Tae Kwon Do classes as well.  He loves camping and is learning everything about Ford 350 Diesels that he can!  Mark's favorite campground is Ft. Desoto.

Dana - This blog is my creation, but the family is welcome to add to it!!  I homeschool all 3 kiddos and work part time for a real estate company.  I lead a small co-op based on the amazing Tapestry of Grace curriculum.  I enjoy Kayaking, working out at the MAC, Zumba, homeschool stuff, swimming, Tae Kwon Do and taking care of my house ---oh and my Passport!  I am a trained Precept Bible study teacher and teach women's classes at my church, First Baptist Church in Brandon, FL.  I love Disney - looking forward to getting passes again sometime in the near future!  My favorite campgrounds are Ft. Wilderness and Ft. Desoto, both for very different reasons :)

Delena - Delena is 12 and going into the 7th grade.  She loves her puppy, Pepper.  She was on the Tampa Bay Heat's Homeschool Tennis team and now is on the HEAT Archery Team.  She loves Precept Bible studies, baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting, drawing, biking, Tae Kwon Do, Youth in Government and kayaking.  She has an 8 ft. Lifetime blue kayak.  Delena earned her Jr. Black Belt in Tae Kwon Doe and is now working towards her first degree black belt.  Her favorite campground is Ft. Desoto.  Delena loves TobyMac, Barlow Girl and Casting Crowns.

Caleb - Caleb is 9 and going into 4th grade.  He loves video games, TRON, Star Wars, baseball, swimming, Tae Kwon Do and kayaking.  He is an awesome little boy and loves to film movies with the movie camera and iPod touch.  He is very creative with his movie making.  Caleb earned his Tiny Tiger Black Belt and is now working on his Jr. Black Belt.  His favorite campground is Ft. Desoto also.  Caleb loves TobyMac and Jars of Clay.  Caleb has enjoyed this year with Busch Gardens passes, conquering all five major roller coasters including Shiekra!

Taya - Taya is our littlest one at 7.  She is a fun, energetic camping machine!  Taya loves to canoe, play her DS, ride her Trek bike, swim and play outside.  Taya is a blue/black belt in Tae Kwon Do and will have her Tiny Tiger Black Belt in about a year.  She is always counting down to the next camping trip!!    Taya's favorite campground is Tallulah Gorge - good thing she loves hiking and waterfalls!  Taya loves TobyMac!

Pepper - Our wonderful Australian Shepherd.  He is much tamer than we expected and is rather big.  He enjoys camping, the dog parks, dog beaches and night time walks at the campground.

McKenzie - McKenzie is our 6 year old Scottish Terrier.  She loves to camp also.
